ResizeJEDDAH – Security experts warned that some maids who work part-time and receive their wages by the hour have become seasoned guides for thieves to break into houses and make off with people’s belongings.
This comes at a time when Saudi families have stopped hiring permanent maids, using part time workers instead.
The prices range from SR30 to SR50 per hour, saving those who use such services considerable sums.
Par-time maids arrange and clean the house, and do the laundry only.
In contrast, companies that provide domestic labor rental services have entered the market strongly after they were allowed to work and issued licenses, with monthly prices starting from SR700 up to SR2,000, based on the number of visits and the size of the house.
