JEDDAH — The third Nadec-Blue Star Soccer Fest will begin at the Hilal Sham Stadium near Khaled Bin Waleed Street here Friday.
The tournament will be held in two sections. Six best teams from the last Saudi Indian Football Forum League (SIFF) will play on league format in the senior open division.
A junior under-17 division is also included this year as part of providing opportunities for the boys to test their talent on a competitive stage.
The tournament is mainly sponsored by Nadec. The co-sponsors are Al-Ryan Polyclinic, Royal Travels, Sharafiya Trading, Saphire Family Restaurant and Badr Tamam Polyclinic.
The event will be inaugurated by SIFF President Hifsu Rahman.
Opening day’s schedule (matches will begin at 8.30 p.m.): Sporting United vs. Jeddah XI juniors; Real Kerala XI vs. Freaks Seniors and Zabeen FC Sharafiya Trading vs. Nadec Blue Star A. — SG
