LOS ANGELES - Wayne Simmonds scored a pair of goals for the second straight game and Jakub Voracek scored with 8.6 seconds remaining in overtime, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to their sixth straight win, a 3-2 home decision over the struggling Florida Panthers.
Simmonds is now tied for third in the NHL with 15 goals, two behind Winnipeg Jets winger Patrik Laine and Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby.
The Flyers’ six-game winning streak is their longest since 2011 under former coach Craig Berube.
Blues 3, Canadiens 2 (OT): Left-winger Jaden Schwartz scored in overtime to give the St. Louis Blues a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
Schwartz had also scored the tying goal midway through the third period as the Blues rallied from a 2-0 deficit.
The Blues earned at least one point for the 13th consecutive home game. They have only one regulation home loss in 16 games this season.
Flames 2, Stars 1: Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan each had a goal and an assist, and Chad Johnson stopped 29 of 30 shots for the Calgary Flames in a 2-1 win against the Dallas Stars.
Calgary (14-13-2) won its fourth consecutive game and prevailed for the sixth time in its past eight games. The Flames are 8-6-2 on the road.
Blackhawks 4, Coyotes 0: Marian Hossa scored two goals, and the Chicago Blackhawks cruised to a 4-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes.
Artem Anisimov and Dennis Rasmussen added goals as Chicago (17-8-3) snapped a two-game losing streak.
The Coyotes were shut out for the first time this season. Arizona (8-13-4) dropped to 0-3-2 in its past five contests.
Sabres 4, Oilers 3 (OT): Rasmus Ristolainen scored 57 seconds into overtime to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
Buffalo forced overtime with 28.3 seconds remaining in regulation on Evander Kane’s second goal of the game.
Jordan Eberle, Milan Lucic and Leon Draisaitl scored for the Oilers (14-10-4).
Islanders 4, Rangers 2: Scott Mayfield’s first period goal gave the New York Islanders a lead they would not relinquish in a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers.
Devils 3, Canucks 2: Defenseman Ben Lovejoy’s first goal of the season was the winner as the New Jersey Devils defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2.
Red Wings 4, Jets 3 (SO): The Red Wings took half the game to find their legs but once they did, it was bad news for the Winnipeg Jets as visiting Detroit erased a two-goal deficit to post a 4-3 shootout win.
Predators 4, Avalanche 3: Roman Josi snapped a tie with a five-on-three power-play goal early in the third period, and the Nashville Predators stopped the Colorado Avalanche 4-3.
