JEDDAH – Saudi Arabian Airlines will take delivery of 11 new aircraft this month, the airline said in a press statement on Wednesday.

This large number of aircraft joining the Saudia fleet in a single month is unprecedented in the history of the national carrier, the statement added.
The new aircraft include four Boeing 777-300s and three Airbus 330-300.

A Boeing 777-300ER arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Monday and an Airbus 330-300 arrived on Dec. 1, also in Jeddah.

Saleh Al-Jasser, director general of Saudia, said the new fleet would help the airline further boost its operational efficiency and quality of services in both domestic and international sectors.

The Boeing 777-300ER, which is a new addition to the Saudia fleet, is the first-of-its-type to be fitted with a three-class cabin configuration, and it offers a full range of services, including five-star facilities. The aircraft is unrivaled in fuel efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort.
