JCA-CIT SPL Cup final tomorrow

By Aijaz Ahmed Khan JEDDAH — The postponed JCA-CIT Saudi Premier League Cup final between My Care Hala Premier and Ace Travel & Tours teams will be played at JCA Complex Friday. The final, which was scheduled to be held on Feb. 3, was forced to postpone due to heavy sand storm. According to Haroon Abdullah, the Executive Secretary of Jeddah Cricket Association, JCA convened an emergency meeting and then decided to conduct the much-talked about title-match Friday. Muhammad Iqbal, CEO of JCA, said that maintenance work at all grounds has been completed and seating arrangements have been set up for about 800 spectators with two separate pavilions for teams, a separate tent for the families and children and an octagonal pavilion for special guests, sponsors and the press. JCA President Aijaz Ahmed Khan informed that the ground No.1 and 2 were made ready after sprinkling water, rolling, marking inner circles and outer boundaries, fixing flags, and sponsors display boards. JCA Vice President Hamid Rana, who is the chief coordinator for SPL, informed that all arrangements including umpires, scorers, third umpires, commentators, post-match presentation anchors, photographers and entertainment personals are all tuned up for the much-expected final.
