DAMMAM — Al Ber Society in Al-Ahsa has recently launched electrical golf carts system to connect the mosque with the cemetery to carry a coffin from the mosque into the cemetery, because of the long distance between the two. The service is the first of its kind in the province, Al-Yaum reported. Waleed Al-Bosaif, public relations manager at Al Ber Society, said that Ekramm center, which is part of  his society, inaugurated the carts weeks ago as one of the very first of its kind in the Eastern Province. The project aims to carry the funerals and aged members of the family of the dead from the mosque into the cemetery. “There are three carts at the first phase that are used in Salhiyah cemetery, and more are going to be provided to other cemeteries in further phases,” said Al-Bosaif. Abdullah Al-Mulhaim, manager of Ekramm center, said benevolent people helped in affording such carts. Al-Mulhaim thanked all the people who supported and helped in the success of the project.
