COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sergei Bobrovsky made 33 saves for his third consecutive shutout and the Columbus Blue Jackets handed the New Jersey Devils their eighth straight loss with a 2-0 victory Tuesday night.

Bobrovsky shut out the Devils for the second time in three days as he made 20 saves in a 3-0 win Sunday.

Tuesday’s shutout was his career-high sixth this season. Bobrovsky has not allowed a goal since the Canadiens’ Alex Galchenyuk scored in overtime on Feb. 28.

Oliver Bjorkstrand and Cam Atkinson scored third-period goals for Columbus, which leads Pittsburgh by two points for second place in the Metropolitan Division.

Maple Leafs 3, Red Wings 2: Alexey Marchenko, James van Riemsdyk and Nazem Kadri each scored a goal, and Toronto held on to defeat Detroit.

Mitch Marner and Tyler Bozak added two assists each as the Maple Leafs jumped out to a 3-0 lead en route to ending a five-game losing streak.

Gustav Nyquist scored two goals and Henrik Zetterberg added two assists for the Red Wings, who lost their third game in a row.

Rangers 5, Panthers 2: New York, which scored just seven goals in its past five games, broke out of its slump in a win over Florida at the BB&T Center.

Chris Kreider, Tanner Glass, Kevin Hayes, Nick Holden and Pavel Buchnevich (empty-netter) scored for Rangers.

Aaron Ekblad and Thomas Vanek scored for the Red Wings.

Flyers 6, Sabres 3: Radko Gudas had a goal and two assists to lead Philadelphia over Buffalo.

Jordan Weal and Travis Konecny each had a goal and an assist for the Flyers. Matt Read, Chris VandeVelde and Claude Giroux also scored and Steve Mason made 31 saves.

Jack Eichel had two goals and Evander Kane scored for the Sabres. Robin Lehner made 24 saves.

Blues 2, Wild 1: Jake Allen made 32 saves and was 10.5 seconds away from his second shutout in as many games, leading St. Louis over Minnesota.

The Blues got goals from David Perron and Vladimir Tarasenko.

The Wild got 18 saves from goalie Devan Dubnyk while Mikko Koivu scored his 18th in the dying seconds.

Islanders 4, Oilers 1: New York continued its hard playoff charge under coach Doug Weight, beating Edmonton at Rogers Place Arena.

Anders Lee scored twice and Josh Ho-Sang and Andrew Ladd added goals for the Islanders, who wasted no time taking back the last Eastern Conference wild-card spot after the Toronto Maple Leafs moved ahead of them earlier in the day.

Zack Kassian scored for the Oilers.

Avalanche 3, Hurricanes 1: Tyson Barrie had a goal and two assists, Gabriel Landeskog also scored, and Colorado rallied for two quick goals in the second period to beat Carolina.

Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and Calvin Pickard stopped 24 shots for the Avalanche, who stopped a four-game losing streak.

Justin Faulk scored and Eddie Lack had 22 saves for the Hurricanes.

Canadiens 2, Canucks 1: Paul Byron scored 1:13 into overtime as Montreal defeated Vancouver to win its sixth consecutive game.

Torrey Mitchell also scored for the Canadiens. It was his first goal in 39 games. Michael Chaput tied the game for the Canucks with 7:11 left in the third period.

Ducks 4, Predators 3 (SO): Patrick Eaves scored in the fifth shootout round as Anaheim rallied past Nashville at the Honda Center.

Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and two assists for the Ducks, who moved into a second-place tie with the Edmonton Oilers in the Pacific Division. Nick Ritchie and Rickard Rakell also scored, Cam Fowler added two assists and Jonathan Bernier made 24 saves.

Filip Forsberg, Colin Wilson and Ryan Ellis scored for the Predators, who received two assists from Calle Jarnkrok and 39 saves from goalie Pekka Rinne.
