JEDDAH — Makkah police found the dead body of a newborn in the trunk of a car.

The police saw a suspicious vehicle on Al-Sahel Road and ordered it to stop, but the Ethiopian driver refused to do so and sped away.

The driver had a passenger with him in the vehicle.

The police chased the vehicle and exchanged gunshots with the two men. The vehicle was finally stopped.

The police searched the vehicle and found the body of a newborn in the trunk.
