BAHA — Saeed Al-Ghamdi has denied that his sister Sameera will waive her rights for justice following the death of her husband.

The woman’s husband died during a hot pursuit by the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai’a) personnel.

Sameera was pregnant at the time and lost her right arm as a result of an accident caused by the chase, while her two children suffered serious injuries.

Al-Ghamdi said the psychological pain his sister is going through is far greater than her bodily pains. She recently gave birth to a girl, and named her "Amal" (Hope).

She also visited Prince Salman Medical City in Riyadh for an artificial limb, but was asked to return in three months after the swelling in her arm had healed.

Their vehicle’s value dropped from SR35,000 before the accident to only SR1,500.

The widow and her brother are blaming the Hai’a and Al-Baha police for the accident, and will not relent in their quest for justice.
