RIYADH – Metrofile Sixers, Friends, Jawar Al-Jazira, Riyadh Sports Club, Stallions, Falcon and Black Caps downed the opponents in the RCL PowerZone Cricket Tournament which is being organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) and sponsored by PowerZone.
Metrofile Sixers defeated Al-Eid CC by one wicket. Al-Eid decided to bat first and scored 154 runs. Kashif 30, Fakher 28 and Kamran 16 were the main scorers. Metrofile Sixers showed a lot of patience against the experienced rivals. Basharat bowled well and took four wickets and Jamshaid three. In reply, Metrofile Sixers, who were chasing a low score, were given a hard time by Al-Eid. However, Metrofile achieved the target on the second last ball of the match. Sajid scored 25, Taj Khan 24, Basharat 23 and Khawar 23. Rana Munir of Al-Eid took three wickets and Jameel Khan two. Man of the Match: Basharat Ali.
Unbeaten Friends thrashed Game Pro by eight wickets. Batting first, Game Pro made 178 through Moiz 50, Imtiaz 38 and Majid 28. Wasim Raja of Friends took three wickets and Abid two. In reply, Friends achieved the target in 13.5 overs. Abdulwahid made a splendid 61, followed by Sajid Khan 56 and Mohammed Afzal 47. Majid and Imran took one wicket each. The youngsters’ team of Jawar Al-Jazira beat Mehran CC by 31 runs. Batting first, Jawar Al-Jazira made 218. Rizwan Manzoor scored a century (103 with 15 fours and one six). He was well supported by Javed Ahmed 41. For Mehran, Usman took two wickets and Fakher one. In reply, Mehran kept losing wickets at regular intervals. It made 187. Mohammed Abbas of Jawar was in form and took five wickets. Ejaz claimed three. Man of the Match: Rizwan Manzoor.
Riyadh Sports Club beat Cricketers Club by five wickets. Batting first, Cricketers Club tallied 144. Ahmer 34, Sufyan 18 and Umer 16 were the main batsmen. Hilal, Ibrahim, Sultan and Ameen took one wicket each. In reply, Riyadh Sports Club achieved the total in 13.3 overs. Mansoor blasted an unbeaten half century and Shahnawaz hit 31. Umar and Mubeen took two wickets each. Man of the Match: Mansoor.
Stallions beat Cricket Samarwa by 40 runs. Stallions elected to bat first and set a target of 230. Zia scored 43, Amir 37, Yasir 35, Shehbaz 33 and Farman 26. Aasif Sheikh bowled well and took three wickets, while Amir and Qasim claimed two each. In reply, Cricket Samarwa was bowled out for 190. Qasim made 70. He was well supported by Aasif Sheikh 33 and Amir 32. Junaid took two wickets, while Amir, Yasir and Shehbaz took one wicket each. Man of the Match: Yasir of Stallions.
Falcon beat Royal Fighters. Batting first, Falcon made a huge total of 249. Zahid Rizwi hit 80 with 11 fours and two sixes. Nazim Siddiqui who scored 50, Syed Siraj 42, Moazzam 30 and Nadim made 22. Amin of Royal Fighters took two wickets. In reply, Royal Fighters were bowled out for 166. Nasif 39, Ameen 30, Talha 28 and Hassen 23 were the main scorers. Awn Abbas took three wickets, while Zahid and Noor took two wickets each. Man of the Match: Zahid Rizwi.
Black Caps beat Karachi Titans by 15 runs. Opting to bat first, Black Caps set a target of 209 through Arif 63, Mukeem 43, Bilal 25 and Sana 18. Bilal took two wickets. In reply, Karachi was bowled out for 194. Rizwan played well and made 61. Feroz hit 32, Afaq 25 and Riaz 25. Zeeshan took three wickets and Moeen two. Man of the Match: Arif.
