CAIRO - Egyptian actress Mimi Gamal has announced that she's retiring. The actress, 76, said that she hadn't felt any "exterior pressures" to retire, adding that the reaon was more personal, reports Albawaba.com.
Her interest in acting collapsed after husband, the actor Hassan Mustafa, passed in 2015.
She thought she'd quit acting entirely, in fact, before deciding to give it one last go with star Ahmed Helmy in the film "Laaf Wa Dawaraan" (Round and Round). Following her work on that film, Gamal found herself preferring to stay at home, where she's been since "Laaf Wa Dawaraan" completed shooting. - Agencies
