JEDDAH — Pakistan International School English Section (PISJ-ES) was in the leading position in the Western Province with 15 Outstanding Learners Awards in different subjects and categories including ‘Top in World’, ‘Top in Country’, and ‘Top in the Region’ prizes being acquired by the students of this prestigious alma mater.
Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) announced the Outstanding Learners’ Awards on the students’ academic achievements in the June 2017 Cambridge Examination series. The brilliant scholars of this prestigious alma mater performed outstandingly and were declared high achievers in all categories, proclaimed by the Cambridge.
Congratulating the high achievers on their incredible success, Principal Adnan Nasir said, “The school’s outstanding result is the manifestation of teachers’ commitment, students’ passion for learning, determination and the continuous support provided by the families.”
Nasir extended his heartiest felicitations to the families for assisting the school in translating and strengthening PISJ-ES ethos of ‘Excellence in Education’ in its true spirit.
He added, “With achievements comes responsibilities; therefore, while celebrating this success, the students should take into serious account of virtues like honesty, respect and tolerance which are essential to become responsible citizens of our country, Pakistan. The school’s glorious success is a matter of great pride and honor for the entire community and our country, Pakistan.”
The award winner in the ‘Top in World’ category was Saim Omer in AS-Mathematics.
Among the ‘Top in Country’ category were Haider Ali Chaudhry who secured this award in Applied Information & Communication Technology, Wafa Asher in A-Level Economics, Ahmed Salman in AS Accounting and Economics, Shifa Asher in AS Economics, Muhammad Hamza in IGCSE Islamiyat and Arfa in IGCSE Pakistan Studies.
Ayesha Siddiqui and Fahad Fahim Hassan acquired ‘Top in Region’ ranking in AS Information Technology; whereas, under the same category, Wania Afroz stood out with distinction in IGCSE English as Second Language and Information & Computer Technology.
In the ‘Best across 3A& As Level Category’, Saim Omer achieved the third place; whereas, in the best across 4As & A- Level category, Maleeha Masood secured second place and Ahmed Salman stands first place in the Western Province (Jeddah).
