JEDDAH
— Emir of Makkah Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has ordered an investigation into an alleged incident of harassment that took place at Durrat Al-Arous resort north of Jeddah.

A video showing a group of young men following and harassing women went viral on social media.

The video was initially posted on Snapchat. The person who uploaded the video described it as an incident of mob harassment. The video showed girls yelling at the guys to leave them alone.

Social media users started a Twitter hashtag demanding the authorities to investigate the incident and arrest the harassers.

They said the men had crossed the red line and violated the law. There should be cameras installed in public places to be able to document such crimes, and help identify and arrest law-breakers.
