Riyadh -- Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad launched on Sunday the Center for Government Communication in the presence of over 75 public relations, information and communication officials.

Al-Awwad said the Center comes within the strategy of the Ministry of Culture and Information to enhance intercommunication, integration and coordination among government authorities and different media outlets to keep pace with the latest developments and comprehensive progress being made in the Kingdom.

He said that among the most important functions of the Center is to support the information administrations in the government to disseminate their message.

The center will also enhance the role of official spokesmen and scheduling of events and occasions to be held by government authorities so as to give them sufficient coverage.
