RIYADH — The Ministry of Justice revealed that the total number of notifications sent via electronic messages to parties in lawsuits accounted for more than 11.8 million during the first half of 2025.

Electronic notification has contributed to enhancing the effectiveness of the first court session and reducing procedures, leading to a shorter litigation period. This in turn enhances judicial quality and ensures judicial guarantees for parties in the lawsuit.

This comes within the framework of the digital transformation taking place in the judicial sector, where notification is currently carried out via text messages through mobile phones registered with Absher, instead of previous traditional methods that required time and effort. This has contributed to a reduction in the postponement of sessions resulting from the inability to notify a party, and has also contributed to the regular processing of cases on time.

This progress represents a fundamental shift in the concept of litigation, as technology has become a key element in achieving prompt justice and providing a more transparent and effective experience for litigants, keeping pace with modern requirements and enhancing community confidence in the judicial system.
