RIYADH — Adel Al Johaiman, from Arabian Stallion Club, won the first place in the international speech contest of the division N conference 2018 Toastmasters annual speech contest of district 79 region 11 at Riyadh Place Hotel here. Members of Toastmasters fraternity in Riyadh and a large gathering witnessed the contest.
The Conference was themed as “Building Connections Bridging Excellence”. TM Rayees Syed, conference chair, said the event was a big hit and an honor for division members consisting chair, chief judge, and all the committee members, area directors. He thanked all the office bearers for their support and cooperation.
Rayees said, “Mentorship and leadership qualities are very important to the club’s success.”
Adel, who captivated the audience with his speaking skills, presented his speech giving time to parents with his delivery using proper props grabbing the audience attention that earned him the championship in the International Speech Contest.
TM Syed Faisal won the second place in the International Speech Contest. TM Adam Muneer Chanda was the contest master.
In the Humorous Speech Contest category TM Krishnakumar V.R. won the first place as speaker after speaker enthralled the audience with their thoughts and delivery.
TM Krishnakumar speech generated continuous laughter with TM Syed Waqas bagging the second place in the Humorous Speech Contest. TM Mohan YGK was the contest master.
TM Syed Faisal won the first place in the Table Topic and TM Magesh Prabhakara bagged the second prize TM Viqaruddin was the contest master.
TM Syed Faisal won the first place in the Evaluation Speech Contest and second place was bagged by the Omar Khan; TM Poorni Sudhakar was the contest master.
At the Gavel International Speech Falaq Paloqi won the first place and Afrah Farhan bagged the second spot with contest master being Nabila Faumi.
Table Topic Gavel Hudah Shamsad Ansari won the first place and Chamudi Wickramasinghe got second place with Imaara Imran Khan being the contest master.
TM Rayees Syed announced the winners with DTM Geff B. Sagala and they were recognized in the awards ceremony. Earlier TM Rayees Syed welcomed the guests and conducted the area club banner parade. Souvenir chair was TM Saif Ur Rahman, and Chief Judge was DTM Samer Kamal.
Division N Director DTM Geff B. Sagala proposed vote of thanks and appreciated that a large number of current and past officials and other dignitaries attend the event.
