The mix of fries, indulgent gourmet chocolates, cartoon comic sketches and historic attractions brings energy and glitter to Belgium.

Visiting the Belgian capital and Bruges, a UNESCO heritage city would be a smart choice for the summer. One night is usually enough to see the major attractions in Brussels.

Tourists can walk around the city and buy fries and chocolates. Shoppers in the capital are rude and unfriendly so make sure you know exactly what you want. After a short walk to discover the city, visit the Grand Place, which is a square that marks the heart of Brussels' Lower Town district.

Visiting the Royal Palace of Brussels, which is free to enter, is a must. You will learn a lot about the royal family who uses the palace for special ceremonies. Smurfslovers can visit Belgian Comic Strip Center. The museum's collection is made up of 7,000 original plates and drawings, including 100 smurf drawings currently on display in the Peyo Exhibition.

It is a walkable city and you can discover it all by feet. First go to Historium Bruge where you can know all about this city since the medieval ages.

You can either take a ride around in a horse drawn carriage or you can discover the city through renting a boat in the cannel. Bruge was one of the advance cities when it comes to health and medicine. The museum ST Janshospital, is one of the old hospitals in Bruge that saved a lot of people in the past and during the wars.

Art lovers must visit this Groening museum. It has special unique pieces for many famous artists. It is houses an impressive collection of Flemish and Belgian paintings by many great masters.

Bruge has not only many delicious chocolate shops but also shops that have the most beautiful lace that you can buy for your homes.
