JEDDAH — UTSC is organizing the 3rd edition of Saudi Soccer Festival on Feb. 1, 8, 15 & 22 respectively at Bani Malik Sports City stadium Flood Light (Al Salam Mall frontage).

Hasco, Eram Group & Al-Kabeer Foods are the main sponsors of the tournament. Eight teams are divided into two pools of four and will play total of 8 matches in the league round. The top four teams from two pools will play in the semifinals and the final is to be held on Feb. 22 at 10 p.m.

Eight football clubs participating in the tournament are JSC, ITL, EFS, Catalonia FC, Soccer Guys, Soccery Brothers and Al Hazmi Kottapuram FC.

An Under-13 category tournament will also be held for the football lovers. Teams are JSC, Soccer Freakz, Malarvadi Strikers and Talent Teens

UTSC was formed in 2009 and has chapters in Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia. It is headquartered in Telicherry, India. UTSC Saudi conducted hockey tournament for the first time in Saudi Arabia last year. Their nano cricket tournament was a major hit in the town.

UTSC cricket & hockey club championship is already one of the best tournaments in the UAE. Recently UTSC Saudi was the champions of 7s Football which was conducted by UTSC Global Team in UAE.

A promo event was held at Zafiro Resturant, with the captain and managers of the participating teams participating in the draw of pools of matches.

Eram Group Area Manager Shameem Babu was the chief guest of the function along with others guests and UTSC Organizing team members.

Chief Coordinator Shamseer Oliyat welcomed the guests. Secretary Ashfaq led the live pool draw. Tournament director PR Saleem explained the rules and regulations of the tournament, while Saheer PR gave the thank you address to the attendees. Tournament Convenor Mehtab Ali was the anchor. — SG
