THE Middle East Financial Technology Exhibition and Conference (MEFTECH), the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region in banking and financial payment technologies and solutions, has honored Alinma Bank with its award for having the “Most Innovative Solution for Banking Customer Authentication” in Saudi Arabia in 2019.

The award recognized Alinma’s significant efforts to digitize the customer experience for its partners (customers) and to leverage the very best and latest in banking technology to bring ease and convenience to partners’ lives. Major initiatives contributing to this have included digital account opening, the launch of 24/7 digital branches, the bank’s Alinma Internet service for Internet banking, and its full

suite of smart device applications included the Alinma Token app.

Speaking about the honor, Alinma Bank CEO, Abdulmohsen Al-Fares, said: “Maintaining a technological edge is an ongoing commitment and pursuit of the bank. Additionally, Alinma Bank recently launched Apple Pay in support of broader cashless payment efforts in the kingdom, and as a way to deliver convenience to its partners. Other time and effort saving initiatives include its digital branch on Tahliyyah Street in Riyadh, where bank partners can have access to the full range of banking services in a convenient self-service environment. — SG
