Princess of charity Bandari Al-Faisal passes away

Funeral prayers were held for Princess Al-Bandari Bint Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal, CEO of King Khalid Charitable Foundation, after the Asr prayer at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh on Saturday.

The princess died on Friday, according to a royal court statement.

«With great sorrow, we offer our deepest condolences to the royal family,» a condolence message on the Foundation›s Twitter account read.

Princess Al-Bandari had been a member of several non-profit organizations in Saudi Arabia, including the Women›s Charity Association, Ifta Society for Hyperactivity Disorder, the jury of the Honorary Award and the jury of the Saudi Arabian Women›s Award.

Prince Mansour Bin Saad Al-Saud, deputy general secretary of the Faisal Foundation, wrote on Twitter: «May Allah have mercy on Princess Al-Bandari, leader of the charitable work».

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Tamadar Yousef Al-Ramah said: «May Allah have mercy on Princess Al-Bandari Al-Faisal, social worker and pioneer of charitable work, allowing her to improve her grades and reward.»

Noura Shaaban, a member of the Shoura Council, said, «We are from God and we return to Him».

Artist Fayez Al-Maliki: «Oh my God, have mercy on the spirit that has approached Thee, and who is no longer between us.»

He added: «We pray for Princess Al-Bandari, who have served so many of the needy, did so much good for many, and have wiped the tears of many an orphan ... She is now dead!»

Al-Bandari was a symbol of charitable work in the Kingdom. She was the grand daughter of King Faisal, the third king of Saudi Arabia, and the grand daughter of King Khalid, the fourth king, from her mother›s side.
