RIYADH — The number of beneficiaries from “Furijat” service allotted for settling the debts of those sentenced to jail terms in financial cases, have totaled 280, after settling over SR2.8 million since the launch of the second edition of the service on Ramadan 14, 1441H, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.
The Directorate General of Prisons said that a total of SR2,488,528 has been settled on behalf of 269 Saudis, while a total of SR387,422 has been donated by philanthropists to “Furijat” service to settle the debts of 11 expatriates.
The Directorate said that all can lend a hand to those sentenced to jail in financial cases by accessing “Absher” platform and selecting the services of the Directorate General of Prisons.
Then they can select the beneficiary to whom they want to donate, copy the SADAD number, and carry out the operation via SADAD service, provided by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).
