RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, has congratulated Ministry of Defense officials virtually on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr on Sunday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman, leaders of branches of the armed forces and senior officials at the Ministry attended the meeting.

"Only what hurts me on this Eid is — that it is a day of joy and our duty as Muslims to enjoy it — and I couldn't be with you all on this day," the Crown Prince said.

"The bad conditions will disappear (if Allah wills), and we are always going to see prosperity with the eagerness of Saudi Arabia's men whether military or civilian," the Crown Prince added.

For his part, Chief of Staff Gen. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili stressed that the armed forces enjoy the highest levels of combat readiness with all precautions in place with the support of the leadership despite the coronavirus pandemic.
