RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received on Friday a number phone calls from leaders of Arab and Muslim countries, congratulating him on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and his recovery following the gallbladder surgery, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During their talks, the leaders also congratulated King Salman on the success of pilgrims’ movement’s plans at the holy sites and extraordinary arrangement made for this year’s exceptional Hajj amid the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
In his call, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that the success of the Hajj organization reflects Saudi Arabia's ability and extensive experience to assume the sacred responsibility of holding the largest Islamic ritual.
El-Sisi added that the application of precautionary measures according to the highest standards of safety and health enabled pilgrims this year to perform the Hajj rites in comfort and easiness.
King Salman also received calls from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, Djibouti President and President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas.
All the leaders also made special mention of successful and excellent management of this year’s Hajj in the face of unprecedented challenges.
