Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH —
A cosmetic surgeon has been suspended and barred from practicing medicine after he allegedly filmed private parts of some patients and posted them on social media.

Health Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has ordered the doctor be stopped from practicing medicine for violating medical ethics, the ministry said on its Twitter account. Neither the name, nationality or age of the doctor was disclosed.

“The doctor filmed sensitive areas of patients’ bodies after performing plastic surgeries on them and offended morality by posting them on social media in violation of the profession’s practice ethics and regulations in place,” the ministry added.

It was not immediately clear if the offender will face legal action.

Medical misconduct is an offense in Saudi Arabia punishable by a fine of SR10,000 and revocation of the practice licence.
