RIYADH — Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal has instructed to award SR1 million to each club taking part in the current edition of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, set to resume on Sept. 14.

This grant is in accordance with the AFC decision, in addition to undertaking the cost of accommodation of the players of the 4 clubs. The championship is set to take place, under a grouping system, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Riyadh-based Al-Hilal, the AFC reigning champions, and its cross-city rival Al-Nasr, Jeddah-based Al-Ahli and Ta'awon from Buridah, are representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in this edition of the AFC championships. — SPA
