RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has urged the world community to “face its responsibilities” and counter Iran’s violations of international accords, mainly a 2015 deal on its nuclear program.

The call was made by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan at a virtual UN ceremony marking the International Day for Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.

“The Iranian stock of enriched uranium is currently 10 times higher than the limit stipulated in the nuclear agreement,” he said, referring to the 2015 deal between Iran and major world powers.

“The Kingdom sees it as necessary for the world community to be united against any country seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, especially the countries with aggressive behavior that seek to destabilize international security by funding outlawed terrorist militias and providing them with arms,” he added. — SG
