DAMASCUS — A source at the Al Shami Hospital in Damascus has denied recently circulating rumors that prominent Syrian actor Khaled Taja has passed away. The source at the hospital, where Khaled is staying, revealed that the actor is still alive and remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and all that was said about his death is mere lies. The source added that the news of the actor’s death was created from outside the hospital and no one inside the hospital made any such revelation. It was added that the rumor had spread very quick and intensively and no one had thought to verify it with the hospital. — SG
