Leaders of GCC leaders start arriving in AlUla for summit

ALULA — The leaders and heads of delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states started arriving in AlUla Tuesday to attend the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the GCC.

Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, deputy supreme commander and prime minister of the kingdom of Bahrain arrived in AlUla.

At Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdulaziz Airport here, he was received by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, welcomed him and his accompanying delegation to Saudi Arabia.

GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf and Bahrain Ambassador Sheikh Hamoud Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa too were present to receive Bahrain's Crown Prince.

Bahrain’s Crown Prince left in an official motorcade for Maraya Concert Hall, with the official Bahraini delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al-Zayani and Sheikh Salman Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. —

Sayyid Fahd Bin Mahmoud Al-Said, deputy prime minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman, too arrived in AlUla.

He was was received by Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman, who welcomed him and his accompanying delegation to Saudi Arabia. GCC Secretary General Dr. Al-Hajraf and Deputy Oman Ambassador Saif Al-Bada'ei were also present.

Al-Said’s official delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Saeedi.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of the United Arab Emirates, prime minister and ruler of Dubai, too arrived in AlUla and was received by Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman, who welcomed him and his accompanying delegation to Saudi Arabia.

GCC Secretary General Dr. Al-Hajraf and UAE Ambassador Sheikh Shakboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan too were present to receive Sheikh Mohammed.

The UAE Vice President left for Maraya Concert Hall with the official Emirati delegation that included Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, national security advisor and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs

Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation too were welcomed at Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdulaziz Airport by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

GCC Secretary General Dr. Al-Hajraf and Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah too were in attendance.

The Kuwaiti delegation includes Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, minister of foreign affairs, and Sheikh Faisal Saud Al-Sabah, chief of the Amiri Diwan.

Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani too was received by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who welcomed him and his accompanying delegation to Saudi Arabia. GCC Secretary General Dr. Al-Hajraf was also present.

The Qatari Emir and his delegation, which includes Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, minister of foreign affairs, left in an official motorcade for Maraya Concert Hall. — SPA
