The report noted that the download speeds of the 5th generation mobile in the Kingdom reached 315.55 megabits per second, as STC recorded the highest average speed of 342.35 megabits per second. Zain and Mobily came in the second and third places, with an average download speed of 338.12 Mbps, and up to 220.86 Mbps respectively.

Zain emerged top in performance among the telecom service providers in terms of deploying 5G services in all regions of the Kingdom, except for the Makkah region, where Mobily recorded the best performance in deploying 5G services during the last quarter of 2020.

It is noteworthy that Meqyas is an initiative by CITC to establish Internet Quality of Experience Measurement Platform in order to provide Internet users in Saudi Arabia with reliable and accurate data concerning broadband and mobile Internet services.
