RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent cables of congratulations to Nepal’s President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on the anniversary of her country's National Democracy Day.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the Nepalese president constant good health and happiness and the government and people of Nepal steady progress and prosperity.

Every year, Falgun 7 of the Nepali calendar is commemorated as the National Democracy Day in Nepal.

In 2007, on this day, democracy was established in the Himalayan nation ending over a century old autocratic Rana regime. — SG
