RIYADH — The Presidency of State Security is making giant strides and accomplishing outstanding results in its great mission of cleansing the Saudi society of extremists and terrorists who attempt to undermine the citizens’ security and spread fear, division and discord among members of the community, apart from failed attempts to destabilize the security, safety and stability of the homeland.

Through a video clip, the presidency reviewed its efforts to foil a number of terrorist plots that were about to be carried out in recent years. It clarified that the danger of terrorist bombings lies in spreading destruction over a vast expanse and indiscriminate killing of the largest number of lives, without aware of or thinking about the danger of harming the lives of innocent people.

The presidency indicated that terrorist organizations make attempts in various ways to get possession or manufacture of explosive materials, despite the danger posed due to the presence of such materials in populated areas.

“During the recent years, many terrorist plots that were about to be carried out within the Kingdom had been foiled, and various explosive devices and materials that amounted to about 49 tons were either neutralized or seized,” the presidency said while calling on the public to lend a helping hand of cooperation in reporting terrorism crimes through contacting the toll free number 990.
