RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 466 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, marking the highest number of single-day infections in nearly four and a half months.
On Nov. 10, 2020, the health ministry recorded 471 new cases.
The ministry announced six more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 386,300 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,624.
The ministry also reported 306 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 375,471.
The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 193 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 102 and the Makkah region with 71 new infections.
The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with six of them reporting less than 10 infections.
According to the ministry, there were 4,205 active cases and 627 of them were in critical condition.
