Prince Khalid meets with UK PM’s envoy to Gulf region

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman met with the special envoy of the British prime minister for the Gulf Region, Edward Lister.

In a statement on his Twitter account, Prince Khalid said: “Met with the Special Envoy of Britain's Prime Minister for the Arabian Gulf, Edward Lister, to review the strong cooperation between our two friendly countries, especially in the defense side. We reemphasized the importance of our partnership in preserving regional stability& security.”

Early Monday, Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman met with the British special envoy in Jeddah.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strong relations between the two countries and explored ways to strengthen them.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Majid Al-Qasabi, who is also the acting Minister of Media, and UK’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Neil Crompton.
