92 commercial firms temporarily closed in Jeddah for flouting COVID-19 rules during Eid

JEDDAH — The municipality of Jeddah governorate and its sub-municipalities closed 92 commercial establishments for violating anti-coronavirus health protocols during the first two days of the Eid Al-Fitr, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.

According to the report, officials of the municipalities carried out 7,356 inspection tours of commercial centers and facilities during the two days to ensure adherence to coronavirus precautionary measures by the commercial establishments and facilities.

During the inspection tours in the first two days of the Eid Al-Fitr, 323 violations were detected, the report added. — SG
