HRC chief highlights Saudi labor reforms in meeting with Bangladesh ambassador

RIYADH —
President of Human Rights Commission (HRC) Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad received at his office on Tuesday Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Dr. Mohammad Javed Patwary.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest between the two countries, especially in the fields of human rights, as well as the challenges and measures being taken to confront the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic on the labor market, in addition to the efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia this regard.

The two sides also reviewed the Labor Reforms Initiative introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for private-sector workers.

Dr. Al-Awwad affirmed the depth of relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh and underlined the importance of such visits for exchanging views regarding many issues that would promote bilateral cooperation.
