Jawazat comments on expat child registration

RIYADH — If a child of an expatriate is born outside the Kingdom, the family must approach the Saudi embassy in his country to register the child’s name in his family record and should obtain a residency permit (iqama) for him/her after entering the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has clarified in response to a question on its Twitter account.
