Defense Ministry is a key partner in World Defense Show 2022

RIYADH — The Ministry of Defense will participate as a main partner in the (World Defense Show 2022) which will be held in Riyadh on March 6-9, 2022, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, amid the participation of major international companies in the show which covers approximately an area of 800,000 square meters.

The World Defense Show 2022 will witness a number of government military and security agencies, Saudi companies such as the Saudi Arabian Military Industries, the General Authority for Military Industries and major international companies in the security and defense industry participating in the show.

The World Defense Show to be organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), is considered as a global platform for operational coordination through the defense industry's five sectors: land, sea, air, security and space.

The show will include the world's first runway dedicated to hosting defense shows, an area for displaying ground military equipment and a control center to review the operational compatibility operations among these sectors, in addition to dozens of hospitality suites to holding high-level meetings between exhibitors and visitors.

It is worth mentioning that the show is held biennial with the aim of enabling defense and security institutions to keep pace with defense developments and technological solutions, in line with the goals set for Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 by seizing the opportunities available to develop defense and security fields and promoting the march of localizing industries in this sector in the Kingdom.

The show is timely, especially as these developments occur at a rapid pace, pushing industry pioneers to collaborate across borders and exchange expertise to generate opportunities in various fields. — SPA
