RIYADH — The Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad held a meeting with a delegation of a youth group with hearing disability.

The youth discussed the difficulties facing the people with hearing disability and proposed solutions to overcome them during the meeting.

The meeting was held Monday at the commission's headquarters. The president affirmed the Kingdom's attention to empowering people with disabilities and enhancing the services provided to them by government agencies.

The president reiterated that the government would take many measures in this aspect, including the establishment of an authority for the care of persons with disabilities.

The work and care of civil society organizations for people with hearing needs have been ongoing and such measures have helped them better integrate into society.

The effort and care also allow people with disabilities to show their potential, abilities and talents and boost confidence in themselves and those around them.
