MUSCAT — The Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, head of Saudi Arabia's delegation in Oman, met here Monday with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Promotion of Omani Investment Qais Al-Yousef with the aim of consolidating and expanding the base of economic relations and mutual investments between the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation and build a strategic partnership between the two countries to live up to the aspirations of the leadership of the two countries,
They also discussed the depth of the relationship between them and to follow up on progress in investment initiatives that were put forward in previous meetings. The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
Saudi-Omani Joint Business
Council second meeting
The Saudi-Omani Joint Business Council held its second meeting in Muscat with the participation of the Al-Falih and Al-Yousef, and a number of official from both sides.
During his speech, Al-Falih praised the historic visit of Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said to Saudi Arabia and his meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, in last July.
It was the first foreign visit of the Sultan after assuming the reins of government, which bears great meanings indicating the depth and sincerity of the relations between the two countries, the two leaderships and the two peoples.
The meeting discussed means of promoting intra-trade between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, and the formation of joint committees in the targeted sectors.
