'Squid Game' breaks records by reaching 111 million views in first 27 days

CALIFORNIA — 'Squid Game', the most watched series in the world, has broken the records by reaching 111 million views on its first 27 days of release.

Netflix, the company that produced the 'squid game' series, said Tuesday on its twitter account 'Squid Game' has officially reached 111 million fans — making it our biggest series launch ever!"

'Squid Game' considers the latest in a long line of inventive, gripping Korean shows on the platform, Netflix added.

Minyoung Kim, Netflix’s vice president of Asia Pacific content, said in an interview with CNN Today, “Squid Game has broken through beyond our wildest dreams."

It is noteworthy that the 'Squid Game' series has surpassed the record set by the American series "Bridgerton", which was shown on Netflix in 2020, achieving 82 million views at that time.

The Series consisted of only 9 episodes as its story revolves around several people who have financial issues, and end up playing a children's game with deadly consequences in pursuit of a prize amounting $38 million. — Agencies
