Saudi Gazette Report

RIYADH
The Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a report that switching between COVID-19 vaccines could help to fight variants.

The ministry explained that switching between the vaccines could give a better response, as it will strengthen the immunity and to make it more effective to fight different parts of the variants.

The MoH also stressed, that on the contrary, taking two shots of the same vaccine may make it less effective, due to the mutated variants. The effect of the vaccine can change in the part that it is fighting.

Switching vaccines can also help to prevent the body's resistance to the vaccine, MoH added.

The ministry confirmed that switching between all approved COVID-19 vaccines in the Kingdom is effective, and there is no need to arrange switching the types of vaccines.
