RIYADH — Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, Assistant General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for Planning and Development, has met here with Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Saudi Arabia Sascha Graumann.
During the meeting, they discussed the relief and humanitarian affairs, and the joint projects, as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi reviewed the KSrelief’s achievements in 76 countries around the world, which included the implementation of 1,784 humanitarian and relief projects at a cost of more than $5,518,713,000 in cooperation with 144 local, regional and international partners.
Graumann praised Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts and the role it plays in partnership with the OCHA, stressing that this partnership has contributed to alleviating the suffering of many people around the world. — SPA
