RIYADH — Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Thailand Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia, paid Tuesday a visit to Al-Turaif historical district.
Upon arrival at the venue, he was received by the Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib and the CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority Jerry Inzerillo.
Accompanied by the Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Thai Prime Minister toured the district.
During his tour, he was briefed on Salwa palace; Diriyah Museum and the Horse Museum, in addition to being briefed on the Visitor Center with its contents of historical models.
He concluded his visit by watching the visual presentation of the different stages of history of the Saudi state.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Turaif historical district is the nucleus of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Its landmarks and urban heritage represent the inception of the first Saudi state and its capital since its founding by late Imam Mohammed bin Saud until our time. — SPA
