LEAP conference honors 1,000 programmers from Tuwaiq Camp

RIYADH — The Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Eng. Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Sawaha attended and patronized the graduation of 1,000 young men and women from "Tuwaiq Camp 1000", with the participation of their families, on the third day of the “LEAP22” International Technical Conference.

The event was also attended by the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones Faisal Al-Khamisi, and Muteb Alqany, CEO of the Federation.

The Tuwaiq 1000 initiative aims to enhance digital capabilities and future competencies, achieve programmed objectives for every 100 Saudis by 2030, encourage innovation and creativity, and achieve global leadership.

The camp spanned over 5 months to prepare programmers capable of developing web applications on various platforms and prepare them to penetrate the labor market. — SPA
