CAIRO —Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh has highlighted the efforts of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, in serving Islam and Muslims religiously.
The diligent effort to serve Islam is evident from the persistent work and effort of the government, including the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, in combating extremism, discarding violence and spreading the principles of moderation.
The minister, in a statement following the conclusion of the 13th session of the Executive Council of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Cairo Monday, highlighted the importance of subjects that were discussed during the conference.
The topics included spreading moderation discarding extremism and whatever causes sedition among people, which will be the theme of the next conference that is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia.
He noted that all subjects discussed during this conference have all been approved without any exception, especially that they had been considered and examined meticulously.
The minister also reiterated the significance of the recommendations reached upon the conclusion of the conference, expressing hope that they will contribute to enhancing constructive cooperation and action for the interest of all countries of the Islamic world.
It commended Egypt’s effort in hosting this event while wishing Egypt further security, stability and welfare.
For his part, Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa extended appreciation to Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh for chairing the 13th session.
The Egyptian Awqaf Minister said: “The most important outcome of the conference is our standing with the Kingdom and the UAE against any attack they face and rejecting any attempt to tamper with their security or stability, which is considered an attack on us all.” — SPA
