Saudi Gazette Report

RIYADH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that it has canceled the Umrah host visa, noting that they will announce through their official channels if there are any developments regarding it.

The ministry's announcement of visa cancelation came in response to people's inquiries in this regard.

In addition, the Absher platform confirmed that it is not possible to issue the Umrah host visa through the platform, and has asked people to communicate with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on this issue.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated earlier that the Umrah host visa is subject to the standards and requirements that regulate it. The ministry confirmed that it will not be implemented and there is no specific time for its activation.

It is noteworthy that the Umrah host visa had allowed citizens and residents to host pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia, in accordance with certain regulations, and enabling them to bring and host 3-5 pilgrims.

The Umrah host visa used to be issued through the civil status registry for the citizens, and via the residency for the residents.
