Saudi Arabia, UAE sign cooperation agreement in internal auditing

DUBAI — The Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA–KSA) has signed a cooperation agreement in Dubai with the UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE IAA) to exchange common experiences in the field of internal auditing and serving its community.

CEO of the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA–KSA) Abdullah Saleh Al-Shebeili and Chairman of the Board of UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE IAA) Abdulqader Obaid Ali signed the agreement.

The agreement stems from the two parties' keenness to effectively support and enhance the ongoing strategic partnership relations, and lay the foundations for cooperation to ensure integration between their goals and enhance their strategic role in achieving government goals through cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement aims to develop a framework for corporate governance to enhance investor confidence, establish strategic alliances with regulatory and legislative authorities, work on developing the internal audit profession, and provide expertise and specializations that serve the growth and development of the profession and work to localize it in the two countries. — SPA
