RIYADH — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has determined the permissible level of the internal sound systems in the mosques.
The internal devices' loudness level in mosques must not exceed one-third of a degree of the loudspeaker, the ministry stressed.
The ministry has also called on mosque employees to continue to abide by the circulars that stipulated limiting the use of external loudspeakers for the first and second prayer calls (adhan and iqamah) only.
It is noteworthy that the ministry has recently issued several directives to prepare mosques before the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
The most prominent of the directives are: Prohibiting the collection of financial donations by mosque employees for iftar projects for fasting people, and obligating organizations who are planning to hold iftar parties are to submit applications for approval and obtain permits from the ministry.
