MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sunday implemented periodic maintenance for Kaaba Kiswa in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.
Director of Kaaba Kiswa maintenance department at the Grand Holy Mosque Fahd Al-Jabiri said that maintenance works included tightening the Kaaba belt to preserve its beauty and tightening the sides.
According to the operational and administrative plan of the department, he noted that Kaaba Kiswa is checked on a daily basis and undergoes periodic maintenance through a specialized Saudi team with the experience of some of its members reaching to 26 years.
Al-Jabiri stressed that the presidency uses the most up-to-date technologies and materials with international standards while implementing maintenance to Kaaba Kiswa, due to attention and care of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince, to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, as well as their visitors and the Kaaba in particular. — SPA
