RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has transferred the fourth installment of its grant to Jordan to support the country’s budget of $50 million.
The decision comes out of the close brotherly ties between the two countries, and an affirmation by Saudi Arabia of its strong support for the people and government of the Hashemite Kingdom.
The transfer was in implementation of directives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince.
The Makkah Summit in 2018 brought together the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates to present a package of economic aid to Jordan to the tune of 2.5 billion dollars in annual support to the budget of the Jordanian government from the three countries for a period of five years. — SPA
